Picking up right where season two left off, this season sees Jack nearly at the end of his rope in more ways than one. He’s healing from being stabbed, rebuilding his house after a fire, and still navigating a civil relationship with Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) while waiting on the impending arrival of their twins. Elsewhere, we find Mel fully committed to her relationship with Jack, but also revisiting her dreams of motherhood, dealing with an unexpected loss, and trying to figure out the future of her professional partnership with Doc (Tim Matheson).
