Nerdophiles had the pleasure of chatting with Bailee Madison (“Avery”) and Kevin Quinn (“Will Hawkins”) about the spirituality in their new musical film, A Week Away!
Directed by Roman White, this musical follows Nashville teen Will Hawkins, an orphan with nowhere to go. When he gets in trouble with the law, his last straw before a juvenile detention center is an opportunity to turn his life around with a week away at Christian summer camp. Completely out of his element, Will learns so much about himself through healing and growth, learns how to face his fears through finding love with camp expert, Avery, and even makes chosen friends that eventually become family.
