Nerdophiles had the pleasure of chatting with the talented and delightful Regé-Jean Page (Sylvie’s Love) about his character Simon Basset in Netflix’s upcoming period drama, the first of the Shondaland-Netflix partnership and Page’s second collaboration with the esteemed creator’s production company, Bridgerton!
Page is the love to hate then love again lead of Bridgerton, which is set in Regency-era London. While everyone around him is competing to be wed during this high society matchmaking season, Simon is running from love in every way possible. What he doesn’t expect is to find a friend in Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor, Younger), the highly sought after younger sister of his friend Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey, Broadchurch). Simon sees his fair share of scandal during his intermingling with Bridgerton clan, that also intertwines with some very heavy secrets of his own!
