Nerdophiles was on hand to chat with the fantastic Jonathan Bailey (W1A) about his character “Anthony Bridgerton” in Netflix’s upcoming period drama, and first of its Shondaland collaboration, Bridgerton!
Bridgerton is set in Regency-era London and follows Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor, Younger) adventures on the competitive marriage market circuit. Hoping to find a true love matched over an arranged marriage like her parents, Daphne sees suitors from all over. With her older brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) ruling out prospects left and right, friendship blossoms between one of his best friends Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page, For the People) and his younger sister Daphne, spawning a series of unexpected events, that toss the powerful Bridgerton family in a multitude of scandals that deal with wealth, lust, betrayal, and so much more!
