Nerdophiles was on hand to chat with the effervescent Dexter Darden (The Maze Runner) about his new role in the upcoming Peacock reboot of the 90s iconic sitcom, Saved by the Bell!
A follow-up to the original, the new series still features some of our old faves but in unique and new roles. Darden plays “Devante,” a kid with a past who is trying to give himself a clean state through this unexpected new start at Bayside High. He, along with two of his classmates and friends are apart of a new program that moved them to Bayside after their old high school is closed due to accidental budget cuts by none other than Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Pitch), who is now Governor! The new students have A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez, Pacific Blue) & Jessica Spano (Elizabeth Berkley, The First Wives Club) as staff at Bayside to help them with their transition and more!
