Visit TBS’s Snowpiercer Booth 4215 in the Comic-Con® Exhibit Hall during SDCC to pick up your very own Bug Bar, made from cricket protein powder.
In anticipation of TBS’s upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer, the network is partnering with EXO for the first and only time to distribute “Bug Bars” at Comic-Con® International via vending machines. Fans just enter their email address into the vending machines to receive a bar in addition to a special piece of Snowpiercer content.
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation, produced by Tomorrow Studios (a partnership between Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios), based on the acclaimed movie of the same name. The series, which has been renewed for a season two, will debut in Spring of 2020 on TBS.
While the front of the train enjoys the luxuries of first class, the Tailies huddled in the back of the train survive on daily rations of bars, which are made out of bugs. These bars at Comic-Con® offer a taste of the story, but with a flavor one would expect from the front of the train.
And be sure to check out the Snowpiercer panel on Saturday, July 20 from 3:00 pm – 3:50 pm in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. In attendance will be stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, LenaHall, Steven Ogg and executive producer and showrunner Graeme Manson.
