Dapper Day at the Parks is an twice annual event held at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort where visitors are encouraged to step out in there Sunday finest, including a wide swathe of apparel from the 1920s to (at least this year) the 1970s.
The style is further enriched by a large portion of participants who arrive in Dapper Disneybounds (DapperBounds), where their attire reflects, in the most fashionable way possible, the characters of Disney films including traditional Disney and Pixar films and expanding to include Marvel and Star Wars.
Overall the event is a celebration of fashion, fun, and above all, Disney.
Dapper Day includes an expo, which in California is held in the Disneyland Hotel. Within the walls of the convention hall, you can purchase innumerable classy outfits and accessories including pins, hats, purses, shoes, and ties, or receive a haircut or styling to complete your dapper look. Also throughout the day, various entertainments are provided in the form of Swing Bands and dancing, and above all else, booze.
In the parks, you can hardly move from attraction to attraction without passing a dapper group attempting to take the perfect photograph. California Adventure is especially liked for its design which emulates the period when Disney was first creating films; some of the most iconic locations being Carthay Circle Theatre and Hollywood’s Tower of Terror. In Disneyland, Main Street and New Orleans Square offer perfect backdrops for Instagram photos.
