Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take you back again to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars returns to the big screen with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Lawrence Kasdan & J.J. Abrams and Michael Arndt.
Tickets went on sale in conjunction to the trailer’s release during the halftime of Monday Night Football on October 18, 2015. Not a surprise tickets have been selling out for Thursday showings even before the trailer’s release. Even crashing online ticket sellers such as Fandango, people have already swooped in and even have gone to start selling them on Ebay, some tickets going for over hundreds of dollars. So be aware that if you had planned on getting premiere night tickets for December 17 they might already be sold out and if they aren’t – get them quick!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in U.S. theaters on December 18.
