The Magicians appeared at New York Comic Con to discuss the upcoming show. Slated to premiere on Syfy early next year, the cast and writers sat down to discuss a number of things about the new series. Based on the books by Lev Grossman, it is often referred to as a “grown-up Harry Potter” as the story follows a group of college aged kids through their magic school days. While the series ages up the book character a bit and sticks them in graduate school, the premise is still the same.
