Saturday is typically the biggest day for San Diego Comic Con! The most people show up and the panels are always packed. A lot of pilot episodes are being screened throughout the day, with cast and crew to answer questions after the screening, and many panels are bringing together stars from across shows (Fan Favorites! Women Who Kick Ass!).

Hall H All Day
Even without Marvel in attendance this year, Hall H is packed all day. WB starts the day off with Batman v. Superman, Pan, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Followed by Sony/Screen Gems bringing a double dose of Matt Smith with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Patient Zero. Quentin Tarantino is bringing The Hateful Eight after that. Legendary is going to showcase Warcraft, Crimson Peak, and more. The Entertainment Weekly Women Who Kick Ass bring exactly what they promise with Gal Gadot, Hayley Atwell, and others. Joss Whedon, presented by Dark Horse, will be talking about his work. 20th Century Fox will be making a presentation of their movies, yet unnamed on the schedule. And finally Warner Bros. and DC close out the day with a pilot screening of Supergirl, as well as special video presentations and Q&A sessions about many of their other shows!
FX Fearless Arena All Day
Have you gone through the Fearless Arena yet? We have! And we had a blast! If you can make time for this off-site event, it’s worth it to check out some of FX’s most popular shows and pick up swag while going through their interactive exhibits!
The Cat Cafe 8:00am – 3:45pm
Want to escape the convention for a while? Pay $20 to get into The Cat Cafe, as well as a drink or food item, to spend half an hour petting cats from the San Diego Humane Society. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
The Walking Dead Escape 6:00pm – 11:00pm
We’ve run The Walking Dead Escape in the past! And last year we walked through the course to see how it was set up. This year, they’ve introduced characters from the comics for the first time and partnered with Walker Stalker Con to make it the most action-packed Escape yet!
The India Inkblot Test 11:00am – 12:00pm
Why Comics Are Good for Mental Health, and Mental Health is Good for Comics! This fascinating panel has a diverse group of panelists, including Gail Simone, that will tackle mental health and its representation in comics in a variety of ways.
TV Guide Magazine: Fan Favorites 11:00am – 11:45am
If that’s not your thing, the TV Guide Fan Favorites panel is bringing together some of your favorite cast members from some of your favorite shows. If you ever needed to see Norman Reedus, Ming-Na Wen, and Maisie Williams interact, here’s the place to find out!
Blindspot Pilot Screening and Q&A 11:15am – 12:15pm
A screening of pilot the new NBC series Blindspot, followed by a Q&A session with the cast and crew of the show. See it before it debuts Mondays this fall!
12 Monkeys 12:00pm – 1:00pm
One of our favorite new shows from Syfy, we’ll be bringing you coverage from the press room after the con! Join Terry Matalas, Travis Fickett, and series’ stars – Emily Hampshire is especially awesome to speak with – as they discuss the first season and what to expect in season two!
Colony: USA Network Series Screening 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Another pilot screening opportunity to catch this show before it begins airing on USA. This is also followed by a Q&A session with some familiar faces: Carlton Cuse, Josh Holloway, and Sarah Wayne Callies are among those expected to appear.
Image Comics: Where Creators Own Reality 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Ed Brisson (Sheltered), Kelly Sue DeConnick (Bitch Planet), Sina Grace (NotMyBad/Self Obsessed), and Brandon Montclare (Rocket Girl) talk about how they incorporate the real world into their comics. We’re big fans of Image Comics and any time you can check them out, it’s a good time.
Spotlight on Allie Brosh 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Hyperbole and a Half author Allie Brosh is going to talk about her work, her blog, and her new book that’s coming out in October – Solutions and Other Problems – with Felicia Day. It’s bound to be entertaining and hilarious!
Marvel: Cup O’Joe 2:45pm – 3:45pm
Q&A with Joe Quesada, the chief creative officer for Marvel, as well as editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, executive editor Tom Brevoort, and talent scout C. B. Cebulski. Writers Charles Soule (Lando), Cullen Bunn (Moon Knight), Kieron Gillen (Darth Vader), Mark Waid (Daredevil) will also be there!
Grimm Season 5 3:00pm – 3:45pm
Get a sneak peek at the upcoming fifth season of Grimm alongside the cast David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee and executive producers/writers Jim Kouf, David Greenwalt and Norberto Barba. Outcast TV Series: A First Look with Robert Kirkman 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Sadly, it’s no longer with Robert Kirkman, but Cinemax and Fox are bringing Executive producer Chris Black (Desperate Housewives), cast members Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl), Philip Glenister (Life on Mars), and Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire) to give a special sneak peek of season 1, coming in 2016.
Camp Out with Lumberjanes! 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Creators Shannon Watters and Noelle Stevenson, along with BOOM! editor Dafna Pleban and special guest Carolyn Nowak will be around to discuss the breakout success of Lumberjanes! They’ll also be talking about what’s next for the scouts.
The Expanse 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Check out the exclusive premiere of the pilot alongside the cast and crew of the new Syfy series The Expanse. From the writers of Children of Men and Iron Man and the director of Breaking Bad,The Expanse is set 200 years in the future after mankind has colonized the solar system and based on a best-selling book series.

Rob Guillory (Chew), Stuart Moore (EGOs), Lee Loughridge (Deadly Class), Scott Snyder (Wytches), and Josh Williamson (Nailbiter) are going to discuss making your comics look unique from the rest of the work out there.
Hannibal: Savor the Hunt 5:00pm – 5:45pm
The very last Hannibal panel, fannibles! Join Bryan Fuller, executive producer Martha De Laurentiis, and stars Hugh Dancy and Richard Armitage to give this show the send-off it deserves. And don’t forget your flower crown!
Z Nation 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Another one of our favorite new Syfy shows! Join the cast and crew of Z Nation as they discuss what’s going on for season 2 and to get a behind-the-scenes look at it before it begins airing in the fall. Be sure to check back with us for our press coverage at the roundtable interviews as well!
Max Brooks Zombie Revelations 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Max Brooks is going to share his techniques for fighting in the vampires versus zombies apocalypse! Attend this panel for his insight into the rotting minds of the shambling dead and the aristocratic and self-entitled vampire race, and fields questions from zombie-phobic fans!
Containment Pilot Screening and Q&A 6:15pm – 7:15pm
This pilot screening is before a Q&A session with the series’ stars and producers. When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives while local and federal officials desperately search for a cure in Containment.
Fight Club 2 7:00pm – 8:00pm
This late night panel has Chuck Palahniuk, editor Scott Allie, and artists David Mack and Cameron Stewart in attendance to discuss the comic book follow up to cult classic Fight Club. With two issues out already, there’s much to discuss about the comics and Palahniuk’s first jump into the medium.
