“A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”
That blurb and this clip (and of course casting) are the few things we know about the new Bond film SPECTRE. This video isn’t even really a teaser as much as it is a behind the barrel (so to speak) look at the creation of one of SPECTRE‘s action sequences, a car chase on a mountain in Austria. The production designer discusses trying to find this locale and the team’s goals of topping 2012’s Skyfall, the highest grossing Bond film as well as the ninth of all time. Can they do it? It’ll be tough to beat the stunning visuals of Roger Deakins on the previous film but with all cylinders firing to keep the franchise in it’s upswing I think we’ll safely have a good movie. Keep in mind I am a Quantum apologist so what do I know?!
This is the first entry with an entirely new era Bond-cast: new M, new Q, and the best Bond (yeah I said it! Craig > Connery) and Mendes returning to direct we can hope for another great film in the franchise. Drax joins up as Mr. Hinx, no doubt a head henchman, with Christoph Waltz being cast as the suspected villain. With a name like SPECTRE, most folks are eyeing him for classic Bond antagonist Ernst Stavro Blofeld, but only time will tell on that one.
You hyped?!?!
