Jurassic Park was a huge part of my childhood. As I grew older, I became entranced by just about anything Michael Crichton wrote as I devoured his books. I think if he were still alive he’d be delighted to know that his concept would once again grace the big screen and excite audiences everywhere.
From the trailer, it appears that the entrance into Jurassic World is going to be through the eyes of two young brothers. They’re sent off on an amazing trip to see cloned dinosaur walk as they once walked. It is almost Sea World-Esque, splash zone included, and everything seems just fine and dandy. That is, until the genetic engineers decide to make a Syfy channel original movie mistake and mess with genetics to create some sort of super dinosaur. That’s right folks, scientists decided it would be a good idea to create some sort of dinosaur hybrid. As Chris Pratt’s character puts it, they’ve created an entirely new dinosaur. The kicker? It got loose, and now a highly intelligent killer dinosaur is out and about and killing at will.
Great, right? This is the kind of stuff I absolutely love. Give me science fiction and dinosaurs and you’ve already got me hooked. Throw in Chris Pratt as the leading man and some genetically engineered super dinosaur and you bet your bottom dollar I’ll be getting a ticket to check out this flick when it is released.
Jurassic World will be released in 3D by Universal Pictures on June 12, 2015.
