Hey comic artists of the Internet! LINE Webtoon is introducing a contest that could get you a $30,000 prize and a headlining spot for your comic on their website! Following the numerous careers launched by the site in its birthplace of Korea, LINE Webtoon is opening Challenge League globally to find even more of the best artists on the web.
Any webcomic creators and aspiring artists over the age of 14 are welcome to submit their comics before the January 25, 2015 deadline. It’s a great opportunity for up-and-comers. According to JunKoo Kim, director and head of LINE Webtoon Division, 73.4 percent of the site’s artists were discovered through previous Challenge League competition. Participants are judged based on audience engagement (views and shares of their comics) as well as creativity, originality, and the artist’s ability to produce weekly comics.
For a chance to expand your readership and earn thousands of dollars, head to the LINE Webtoon site or download the app through iTunes or Google Play. Challenge League is free to enter and the January 25 deadline will be here before you know it. Winners will be announced on January 30.
