Do you hear that sound? That’s the distant screams of Hunger Games fans exploding with excitement. Screams of “JOHANNA! NO!”, “THE MOCKINGJAY LIVES!”, and just plain screaming.
The evil masterminds over at Lionsgate have just released the newest ‘Propo’ video straight from the Capitol called ‘Unity’, and my good lord it is perfect.
Not even two weeks after President Snow’s address to Panem about the delicate ecosystem of the Capitol, the man returns with a new message to his people.
President Coriolanus Snow proclaims “Never have we been more unified as a nation”, accompanied by Peeta as seen in the first teaser and now a strangely aryan Johanna Mason as well as an army of Peacekeepers.
The propaganda video is soon taken over by crackling and interference, with the announcement that “This is a pirate transmission from District Thirteen”, as our favourite fictional Nerdophiles face, Beetee graces the screen through the static. Only to end the transmission by letting us rebels know that “The Mockingjay Lives” with a wry smile.
Yes, it’s happening. The battle for the airwaves is in full effect. The marketing department from Lionsgate just get it. And I cannot wait for our next peek.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part One flies into theatres November 19th 2014.
