So we’ve got our first full trailer for Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. Though, would we really call it a reboot or a re-imagining? I don’t even know any more. But it’s definitely a re-imagining all the same and I’m actually excited about it. I was doubtful at first. I mean, how could you not be? The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles aren’t necessarily as popular as they were once upon a time and live action cartoon adaptations can go either way. But this looks like it’s going to actually be super cool. I mean, sure, the origins of our favorite pizza-crazy crime fighters is being changed up a bit and I guess there are some fanboys out there who are upset. But you know what? I’m way more focused on the turtles, the dialogue, and the presentation which all screams “COWABUNGA!”
I’m still not sure Megan Fox is the best choice for a relatable, engaging April O’Neil but hey. She’ll draw in those viewers looking for eye candy. I guess it’s nice that she’s back in Michael Bay’s good graces. Honestly, though, I’m mostly excited for William Fitchner and his evolution into Shredder. I love that guy. Plus the Turtles themselves seem to he really well cast. I mean, can we all take a moment to appreciate how perfect Noel Fisher is for a Ninja Turtle? And Will Arnett is going to be in it, too! Heck yeah.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes out on August 8th so it’s good to see a trailer since it’s just about four months away!

I don’t think Megan Fox fits as April O’Neil. I just don’t see April O’Neil on screen when she shows up; I see Megan Fox. That may change when I see the final product but for right now, I’m just not seeing it.
I agree! I mean I had pretty low expectations for this movie but this trailer really me optimistic. But I totally agree about Megan Fox. I’m going to have a hard time seeing her as April O’Neil until I’ve actually seen the film. And even then I feel like I’m going to be doubtful.
